Whether you’re an International traveller visiting India or an Indian tourist, Mercury Travels will take care of all your travel related queries including information on visa requirements.
All international tourists visiting India must be in possession of a valid passport and visa. The passport must be valid for a minimum period of 6 months at the time of entry to India. Visa can be obtained from Indian Consulates / Embassies in the country of your origin. There are also certain parts of India that require a special permit to visit. This will be advised to you at the time of booking your tour.
Visa fees may vary from country to country. It is recommended to obtain a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa since this simplifies the procedure for visiting neighbouring countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.
Please note that nationals of Nepal and Bhutan do not require visa to enter India and nationals of Maldives do not require visa for entry in India for a period up to 90 days.
Additionally, Non-Resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin who possess either OCI (Overseas Indian Citizenship) or PIO card don't need to apply separately for an Indian Visa. However, those NRIs and PIOs who don’t have OCI or PIO card have to obtain an Indian Visa before entering India.
